97 views and not one response. Are you guys as clueless as I am about this?

Advice needed for point allotment...

OK if one of our classes is already at lvl 50 we have 45 points to allocate to whichever stats we want to increase. On Lnc I was thinking of going with +20 Str (for increased damage dealing) +15 Dex (for accuracy, crit rate) and +10 Vit (for defense, hp). What are anyone's thoughts or opinions of going with this selection of point allocation. I do not, in any way, want to gimp myself and would love feedback in regards to this. If anyone can go into further detail as to what would be the best way to allocate points for all classes it would be greatly appreciated as I have Gla, Pug, Lnc, Thm, and Con at lvl 50 and will soon be leveling Mrd and afterwards Arc. Any advice or feedback will be greatly appreciated!

i haven't messed with the dd's, yet. i have done both my thm and con though. con i went with mind(increases healing +23) and piety(mp boost +22). thm i went intelligence(nuke damage +23) and piety(mp bonus +22). as a mage there's not many options to use your points on.

just remember once you put the points where you want them they will stay that way for a while and you will not be able to re-allot. you can go out with the different type of rings and parse the results to see which sets give you the biggest boosts before you put points in though. just equip each one by themselves and keep up with your damage you take with and without the vit rings along with the hp increase along with the other ones.

i can't really tell you which would be best for you, but parsing while playing with your normal playing style should help you decide which stats are best for you personally.

IMO at least until they implement reassigning stats it would not be wise to make an hybrid or to risk it even.
So for my marauder I'm thinking of stashing everything into str and vit. Str mostly since we are pretty bad at tanking now.

if you go this route and you have a 3rd stat you wish to use you could always jewelry up for only that other stat. at least that way you get around the same boosts on all 3.

I think folks are still experimenting. Some are socketing materia to simulate the stat gain first before allocating.

Fixed that for ya XD ^^

I tank just fine on my GLA and MRD, and I'm sure others do too. I switch between the two depending on the circumstance.

But yea, since you can't reset right now, it's probably best to max out the #1 and #2 bonus stats for each class listed on the chart in the patch notes.

socketing materia is the expensive and more difficult way of checking the stats to be honest. go and get either 4 of the r31 rings for each stat or 3 of the r41 rings for each stat. the r31 rings will give you a boost of 20 per stat and the 41 rings give you a boost of 21. just go out and fight a mob with one set of rings on and then change the type of ring and fight another mob of the same type.

once you figure out which stats work best for you get the rings repaired and sell them back off in the market wards. the only thing you lose that way is the price of getting the rings repaired instead of buying materia to use and then purging it.

as stated above though the main 2 stats are what you will be using more times than none. never hurts to parse data to cure a curious mind though.

So i noticed the mp bonus from alloting to PIE is very little so if thats the only reason i would avoid it. According to SE though VIT raises enhancing magic potency so i went more for MND and VIT on con then PIE since the mp was so little.
