Magitek Knight Tank Job?

I keep on hearing how Yoshi said that he was interested in introducing a magitek knight sort of job as a tank, but I can't find a good source on this. Can anyone confirm if this is true or not?

If so that would be 100% awesome, more so if the primary weapon is a gunblade!

Would be interesting, were there any other magitek knights other than in ff6?

I'd be more about the rocket hammer thing Nero and Grynewaht had, personally. But a gunblade would be acceptable.

Syfurion said what I also had in mind when that was mentioned. Theres a serious lack of blunt weapon types in the game and shield/hammer type weaponry copying the Garleans would work wonders.

On the one hand I completely agree, there needs to be more things for me to actually hit things with, not slice with!

On the other hand...gunblades... :(

Hmm...possibly both? A choice between a gunblade or a hammer that shoots out short-range projectiles or something? Nothing to match the range of existing ranged DPS classes mind you.

Garlemald expansion.

Gunblade melee DPS with a set of ranged attacks in its rotation (like how RDM has melee attacks)

Chemist/Magiteknician healer.
