Suggestion: Free Transfers When Server Congestion Is Solved

Frankly I don't know whether to place this here or in the Technical Support section, but I figured it would attract more attention here.

Due to all the problems with server congestion, a lot of servers are currently closed off for new characters. My friend is currently trying to get into FFXIV, but I play on Odin, one of the servers which is currently closed off for that reason. And I can tell that it's pretty much permanently closed off, as I have been unable to create an alt character for a while now regardless of peak time.

As a result, my friend had no choice but to roll on Omega, which means we will not be able to play together. But I can't just leave Odin either, because my entire guild is playing there. Thus I propose that when the server congestion issues are finally solved, Square Enix should temporarily offer free character transfers to everybody, from and to anywhere.

What are your thoughts?

That sounds as if it would pretty much defeat the purpose of closing worlds for new character-creation... So no, sorry, my vote is no for free transfers back onto worlds that are "full" - and Odin (playing there myself) is pretty filled already. I might sound selfish, but I dont think SE should make it easy to get into servers that you cant naturally and easly get into.
We dont need to hit Balmung-levels...

You can still play together, just get him to open a PF and join it (or vice versa). The majority of the game is instanced anyways (And everything of worth)

That is true, but we won't be able to trade or interact outside of PF, we won't be able to do things together in the overworld, and we won't be able to join the same FC. Heck, the only thing you can do with people from other servers is dungeons, so I'd actually call that rather limited.
