[dev1081] Questions regarding achievements
(Hope I used the correct tag)
I was hoping a community rep or other players could please clarify what constitutes as a credit towards the crafting and gathering achievements.
- Is the goal based on the tally of actual completed actions or how many items are procured? E.g., 20 logging actions vrs 20 logs.
- Do "dated" or old recipes count towards the tally, or only recipes currently listed on Lodestone?
- Are there any exceptions when something may not be tallied, such as an item created as part of a quest, or local and region leves?
Right now, for the synthesis based achievements, they can be easily obtained by someone running an automated crafting/gathering cheat program, but is extremely difficult for a player who already dedicated a copious amount of time leveling their class in full legitimately. This concerns me quite a bit, will there be any actions taken to balance the reward for true players?
May we also have some way of showing our progress added to the achievement UI? I.e., 10/3000 items completed for Going Against the Grain: Journeyman.
If I also may toss in an off-topic question, I've noticed that many of the local leves still are requiring sub crafts (or at least still warn that it does). I thought this was done away with this past patch. Or am I mistaken?
Thank you for reading.
