The lv70 gear has all high meld caps that you can't possibly meet. How do you suggest melding it?
And do you think the lv70 right side is worth getting if I have fully melded IW?

Save your hunt currency and trade it for new high tier materia for now.
But you can only buy battle materia with hunts. And that didn't really answer my question
Aw, pretty sure that is WAR materia only....
If the pattern holds like HW, it means we will have class sets coming out shortly. Therefore your best bet would be to hold off on melding anything other then cheap stuff into sure slots until we know the min stats for those (i.e. level 70 2 star). Then meld the shared set the cheapest you can to hit the 2 star min with food.
The upgrade right now from IW to the new 70's does not seem worth it, if your IW was maxed melded. So again, I would be in a wait and see on the 2 star mins.
If you are melding now, I would focus more on Control then Craft in the melds and not use 6's yet (seem way too high now to purchase off MB right now, again similar to HW where the 5's where not needed to IW), then use Tempura Platter as your food buff. (Looks to be the new baked onion soup)
Zelkova is clearly better than Ironworks; +Craft / +Control natively on the accessory and higher CP caps.
I will be constructing my melds to max the CP and focusing more on Control for the remainder. This is because the Tools have such high craftsmanship and unreachable caps, that any "missing" Craftsmanship can be melded on them or use Food.
with the new skill crafting all 70 set its really really easy.
i think that it's only worth it a min meld for now meantime we wait new info about 2 star
edit: same for gatherer
2 star? Correct me if I'm wrong but the highest crafter/gatherer items I saw were lvl 70 no star white such as the twinslops of gathering.
I don't think they meant 2 star gear (though that may be what we get). I think they meant info about the stats needed to craft 2 star stuff, which may affect how people choose to meld.
