PSA for new transfers to Omega; Don't

If you transfer a character to Omega at this point in time, you will be locked out of playing any character for a period of hours.

I'm guessing over the past couple of days, the amount of transfers to Omega has really exploded, with news I've been hearing about people playing fine with no queues or small queues and now queues in the thousands. However, this isn't the issue if you're trying to transfer.

I transferred an alt on Aether to Omega today at around 12pm CST, and it's now 4:40pm CST and I still cannot log into a single character on any data center. This is due to the error you receive when attempting to connect to a data center stating, "Your character data is currently being transferred".

So, my personal experience and recommendation right now is that if you are thinking of transferring, either don't do it if you intend on being able to play for the day or wait to do it when you are going to work or bed. You'll be essentially locked out of the game for an indefinite period of time.
