Hello all and happy holidays.
Will i just logged off FF14 i really dont like this patch dont understand why they cut so many actions out. Not saying all is bad mages nuking combos are cool. what do you guys think of the new patch and what do you think could help for next ^^ besides the new jobs; i feel the new jobs wont be as cool now that alot of the actions where cut.
what do you think about 1.20 patch

I think everyone felt the same way. However, upon further playing I am having more fun in combat than the previous aoe fest (which were fun mind you). Give it time it will grow on ya once you realize that archer can do decent damage again and thm is an overpowered beast now lol. Give it some time but I definately felt the same pain after patch.

I like the combo system alot. I did think we had too many actions and had to decide what ones to use, but now we are alot more restricted and can only use 10 other class skills. It will take some getting used to finding the best setup but I enjoy it so far.
Moogle fight is fun but the NMs before it are completely ridiculous.

You can equip a lot more actions now for crafting, making it a bit easier. I'm gonna have fun hunting down achievements. I wish there was more content though

Well having a hard time soloing on what I'm hearing has become one of the most weakest jobs (archer) I was seriously looking forward to 1.20's implementation of combo's. I get out in the field and bust my first WS just to find out something isn't working...go back to patch notes and happen to notice "Must be at least 8 yalms from the target for use in a combo."...seriously.......-.-.....thanks SE. On the plus side, it is works fine if your fighting ranged attack mobs...or you care to run 8 yalms back every time you want to bust a combo. Still, I have to admit it's better than nothing and a step forward.

38 to 43 in one day? Solo? That's pretty good, I got like 1 1/2 today solo, was doing Hippocerf's today and was opening with 2 combos --> rebuild tp, wash rinse repeat...just found a 500xp xp chain before logging too, hoping that works out well. One thing, what's knock back and what level mobs do you fight in general...not to turn this into a arch guide, lol sorry I'm new.

well, i found doing the gc leves "protect this and that" works very well. Just remember to cast protect and stonewall on the guy you protect, let enemies come, attack one at a time, if it comes more, dont aggro them, they automatically go for the guy youre protecting, dont care about "wasted seals", i am in limsa grand company, so i did my 25+ leves in cassiopeia. Myself im at the bald knolll one, 40+ atm, but its the same thing, im getting around 600-800 exp per enemy, im also getting seals and im getting exp for finishing the leve. Also, failing the leve aint the end of the world, you lose a bit, but you earn a bit too :D
Theres also gc leves like "kill as many enemies as you can in x minutes" all these enemies gives you great exp, just remember to use the guardian buff. In one of those, i got 30k exp in 15 minutes earlier :D
