Can we get some info on the stat caps?

I wonder if it's possible for SE to give us info on the caps for the core stats because ok

I have 45 points to spend on my stats but as the system works right now I cant allocate and then take back my actions so how can I be sure that I am not wasting my points?

We're playing this game for a year and we still don't have a clue on how stats work...

Well, if I were to decide what stats meant, this is what I would set

Strength

• Attack Power
• Damage dealt by puglist, gladiator, marauder, and lancer arms

Vitality

• Damage taken
• Enhancement Magic Potency
• Maximum HP
• Damage dealt by marauder arms

Dexterity

• Accuracy
• Block Rate
• Parry
• Damage dealt by archer arms

Intelligence

• Attack Magic Potency
• Damage dealt by pugilist arms

Mind

• Healing Magic Potency
• Magic Accuracy
• Damage dealt by gladiator, thaumaturge, and conjurer arms

Piety

• Magic Evasion
• Enfeebling Magic Potency
• Maximum MP
• Damage dealt by archer, lancer, thaumaturge, and conjurer arms

... pretty sure I just made that up myself - right here, right now! ... :)

You can put up to 23 points in a stat, and so far that's been the only stated cap. And what stats do was posted in the update notes:

Yeah I didn't ask for general info on stats, we know the obvious stuff.

What I want to know is if I make my Strength 400 with materia, gear and allocated stats, do I still get bonus on my damage or not?
Also if I make my attack power 1000 through the same way do I get stronger or I am wasting gil on useless materia?

What should I choose? Attack power or Strength? How is damage calculated?
On top of that NOW pugs have to worry about "Intelligence" too, Lancers for "Piety" etc etc really?
Do mages have to worry about STR?

Is intelligence assosiated only with fire and earth fists or affects Pugs when they are on normal mode too?
Lancers don't have magic stances, what is the role of Piety when it comes to damage?

That's the stuff I want to know.
