MCH flamethrower interruptions

So I'm sure I'm not the only one noticing but have any other MCH noticed flamethrower randomly canceling itself? I can hit the hotkey and let go of my mouse and keyboard altogether and it'll still interrupt 2 seconds later. However i can get hit by aoe and it keeps on going. I've noticed if i wait for my char to stop moving and activate it my success rate is about 90%. Wonder if it's a latency thing? I can play nin's mudras with no issues at all. Does anyone else think this move needs to be desensitized a bit?

This has been (semi-)confirmed as a bug. SAM, too, have an issue with their iaijutsu moves being interrupted by targets moving even the tiniest bit, but it seems that even though flamethrower is ranged it suffers from the same issue.
