So I got my first set of lv70 job armor, which is quickly replaced, only to find out it cant be placed in the armoire. Are you kidding me? We now have 15 jobs... am I seriously supposed to use 75 inventory slots to store this?

Just give it some times? Pretty sure it should have the ability to be stored in the future(don't know when).
I really hope so.
I don't believe the starter gearsets for RDM or SAM can be stored, either, nor did I see them from the Calamity Salvager NPC. Kind of ridiculous. Things like this shouldn't be on a backlog; it should be the work of a few minutes (if that) to add them to the list on SE's end.
They aren't. If you discard any of them right now, you have no way of re-obtaining those pieces again.
It's incredible how archaic the overall glamour and inventory storage is in this game. What really irks me is they said it isn't a priority on their list at the moment, but they want to develop Blitzball-- something we all know will die within two weeks.
Calamity Salvager, purchase job specific gears, purchase lvl 70 gears. Here they are.
They also drastically reduced the cost of all Calamity Salvager gear. Almost every single item can now be bought for 1k gil or less.
Goodbye to 2.0 relics costing ~50k gil to repurchase if you ever trashed them!
That's not for the starter gearsets for RDM or SAM, though. Your point is an acceptable response to the OP, though.
That said, you're also implicitly defending the god-awful multi-year failure known as the Armoire. That, coupled with the lack of a proper Glamour system, are probably two of the most spectacular f*ck-ups I've seen in regards to an MMO inventory system. The technology is there, SE. Use it.
