5 str to one point of attack point. I donno if its worth it TBH. But I'm still holding off.
I made a somewhat balanced upgrade with DEX>PIE
I went pure dex/pie I see why others might go w/ str but they specificly stated it's dex/pie for arc dmg.
I guess I will go pie then.
pie from rings gave me 30 minimal damage+ and 40 maximal. Strength gave 10 and 20. So guess pie is better
Hi Medura,
Thanks. Wow, you switched out all PIE vs. STR Rings and you got that large of a difference? That's good to know.
It's a bit shocking (and counter-intuitive in some ways) that STR does nothing for Archer... after SE released the latest Patch Notes:
≪Parameters and Their Effects≫
Strength
- Attack Power
You'd think "Attack Power" would affect Archer damage in some way (via STR). Oh well.
and then just a little further down it says:
Dexterity
Accuracy
Block Rate
Parry
Damage dealt by archer arms
Piety
Magic Evasion
Enfeebling Magic Potency
Maximum MP
Damage dealt by archer, lancer, thaumaturge, and conjurer arms
The above data shows that Strength does have an effect on Archer damage, just not as great as Piety.
Hi Arcell,
Thanks. Yah I saw that section on DEX and PIE. :)
I was just curious about how great an effect STR really had, but as you pointed out, it looks like Medura's testing shows that STR really has very little effect; quite strange / sad in some ways.
