Anything FFXIV related crashes

Hey so this problem randomly started today and I haven't been able to find a fix with some research. Today when I tried to launch the game, it would instantly crash upon pressing play - on dx11 it would show the "not responding/crashed" message, and on dx9 it would just crash without notification. After looking around without much luck, I uninstalled to try and reinstall, but now ffxivsetup is doing the same thing, crashing right as I select the language. I don't know what to do at this point... Does anyone have some advice?

on pc/win10 if that helps
