Preferred AOE DPS jobs

What job do you prefer to see when you go into a dungeon doing large pulls?

in 3.0
SMN x2 = YEAAAAAAAAH
SMN + BLM = Great
BLM x2 = nice
monk x2 = kill me now.

#1 BLM - quadflare with a foul
#2 RDM

Tier 2
#3 SAM - has the potency reductions
#3 SMN
#4 MNK - with cd bursting 6 Rockbreakers

Tier 3

SAM has the potency reductions not unlike BLM, meanwhile MNK maintains full power behind their biz. True after they burnt heir ogcs they'll only have Rockbreaker but if you're really wanting to push that mob mass then it probably evens out.

After several runs Expert Roulette farming for Verity and having BLM, SMN, RDM, SAM, and MNK as my other DPS (I'm bard), I've had WAY faster runs with RDM and BLM as my partner. I'm not sure if the MNKs I've been paired with were not good, but it just wasn't great imo.

SAM no contest. 6 aoe abilities, some with only 10% falloff. Well, as far as melee goes.

BLM and RDM. The sheer amounts of dmg the BLM can have on aoe are ridiculous. RDM is on the same boat. Countless extreme runs with a dps addon rank BLMs first and RDMs second but with a small difference. Then, way below BLMs and RDMs, its between SMN and SAM. Ive seen high SAMs and low SAMs of the same gear. Same goes for SMNs.
So from data i have collected:

1 BLM
2 RDM
3 SAM
4 SMN
rest.

A monk's burst AoE under perfect balance in dungeons is still one of the most powerful out there since you can get 6 Rockbreakers back to back especially if you've built up stacks before hand while mobs were being pulled together. After that their sustained AoE will be behind Samurai and the casters.

Have you ever seen a BLM quadflare in a row with no cast times and with a foul included? I think BLM wins on the burst department.

This thread tells me that most people have never seen good Bards in their entire life.

Then again, I don't run into many good Monks either, despite the fact that they had the highest theoretical AoE DPS in HW.

One of my friends figured out that Ninja actually has MASSIVE burst AoE damage, but he'd have to come into this thread to describe it, as I don't really understand it myself. But he said something about Ninjas being able to pull off 2k AoE potency over a 4-5 second burst period if pulled off correctly.

I've only gotten SAM to 54 (and played at 60 a little in Deep Dungeon). It seems like their AoE rotation eats up all their TP before large groups of mobs are dead, but maybe I'm wrong here?
