Please Let Us Change Instances at Aetheryte.

We all realize that instances are a requirement during the launch period. We all remember how necessary they were in HW and with the population higher with the launch of SB we need them now more than then. But we all complained about how they worked 2 years ago in Heavensward. Why weren't these QoL complaints listened to?

If its impossible to give us an actual in game menu to directly change our instance number. Then we can we have a right click on the party list option to join the party leader's instance? If not that, could we at least get an option added to the Aetheryte menu to change instances? Almost all aetheryte's are not near zonelines and playing with friends becomes tedious. When with a simple addition we could not hate the instance system so much.

I completely agree with this it makes it easier when zoning to an area if you are playing with someone

Or just put members of a party into the same instance.

Because it was temporary then and it's going to be temporary now. I rather they work on actual bugs and keep the servers running better than something so trivial.

Might be trivial to you, but as someone who is trying to play through the story together with a friend let me tell you. This instance handling absolutely sucks. We never get into the same per default, we cannot chose which instance we wanna be in when teleporting, we cannot switch instances on whatever place we are, but have to leave the zone and manually enter it through a door each time. And in first zone not even that was possible as we entered with the help of a npc and all other exits were locked, we spent half an hour trying to get matched in the same instance that first day. So, even when they are only temporary, doing something as simple as letting us switch by teleporting or on an aetheryte would be a massive quality of life improvement for us while trying to enjoy the story.

It was Temporary then, and it lasted 6 weeks. Adding a simple QoL change to allow us to easily change instances is not a tremendous amount of time taken away from working on server tech. Hell its probably not even the same people who would work on it. Regardless, they had two years to take into account the player complaints about the system and did absolutely NOTHING to remedy any of them. This is a system that will clearly get used in the future. It is a system that if fixed could be used on a more regular basis in certain zones. They should do something. They NEED to do something.

Hey you asked why. They should do something but they don't need to.

It is pretty annoying. And you can't even use eternity rings to teleport to someone..

Annoying anytime you teleport or go in an instance quest, or duty finder and you find yourself split.

The only way to bypass the issue is to have the party leader drive a 2-seater mount and you travel through areas that way.

They had two years to fix this. It's absolutely a problem that friends and family are getting forcibly split up, and the only work around is extremely inconvenient. I don't care if this is "temporary". It will likely be this way for over a month. That means a lot of us are going to have to deal with it through the entirety of the MSQ/side quest content - plus any hassle trying to join FATE groups.

There was a long thread made for this in HW. They should have had a fix by now.

I've played games that had numerous instances of areas and you just had to click the area at the top, it opens up a drop down and you select the area you want to move to and bam, it moves you there. But doing so at aetherytes would work too.
