As we know, direct hits- are hits with a little bigger damage than usual hit. And Critical hits are the hits with a rather bigger damage than usual hits.
But technically- direct hits are crits or not? Monk's chakra charges by the crits, so I wonder- do direct hits affect the chakra's charging or not?
No. Direct Hits are Direct Hits.
iirc they called direct hits "mini-crits" in one of the Live Letters, and can even crit themselves. The strength is something as follows(numbers are just tossed there for dramatic affect): Normal Hit (x1), Direct Hit (x1.33), Critical Hit (x1.66), Critical Direct Hit (x2)
Wasn't Direct Hit rate DPS role only? Or did they decide against it and decided to make it available to roles? I know Tenacity is tank only and Piety is healer only, but I wasn't sure since Direct Hit rate is under offensive properties...

The stuff on the GEAR was mostly for DPS, kinda like how Tenacity was the "Tank Stat" and Piety is now the "Healer Stat"
