Any update on the NEW Libra Eorzea app?

I know the old app was just updated yesterday, but I thought I had read that they were preparing a new app with better features when Stormblood was released.
Has anyone heard anything else about it?
Or at least if we can get the feature back to log in with our characters on the app?

It has been stated at an earlier Liveletter this year, that this app will get a newly reworked version at the end of this year, maybe early 2018. It will contain FC chat, marked board etc etc.

I'm looking forward to it!
