V1 Retainer help?

So, I'm getting quite annoyed with this. I make a support ticket to the GM team about my issue, they refer me to technical in a canned response. I make a ticket with the tech team, who says that I should contact GM. I make another ticket with GM who gives me an unrelated canned response. The support team has been VERY unhelpful in helping with my issue. So lets give the forum go-ers a shot, eh?

So my issue is is that I am inquiring about a server transfer. My friends are centering on a server and would like me to join. While investigating I come across a warning that retainers that have been around since V1.0 will need to be re-hired. I do not know if my retainer was hired from before or after. I have already even made progress in sending the retainer on ventures. The retainer also has a lot of stuff on him that is hard for me to find space for things elsewhere. I would very much like to know what I'm doing here and if proceeding with the transfer anyway will mess up the data or cause outright refusal. Thank you for reading, forum-goers! I could be wrong here, but that warning you mention seems to be a requirement that must be fulfilled before you can move. As I understand it you need to re-hire any retainers you may have had in 1.0 before you can use them in ARR. If you are able to send the retainer out on ventures, then it must have been (re-)hired already.
So unless you have some other retainer from back in 1.0 that you have not yet re-hired in the current game, it will probably not be a problem.

(I can't be quite sure since I did not play back in 1.0 and therefore haven't run into any of the special rules for them myself.)

In my case they weren't able to confirm if my retainers were from 1.0 or if they were compatible with server transfers or not.

I'd recommend purchasing an additional retainer and move the items to that one, then dismiss the 1.0 retainers. Sadly you will loose the levels but it's better than loosing also the items.
