PS4 Issue: UPDATE/PATCH DATA LOSS

My brother and I updated our PS4 with the latest patch of the game which is 22749.42MB about 22Gigs.

My PS4 was on sleep mode while I was at work and my brother was playing the game (A Realm Reborn).

The electricity fluctuated at my house while he was playing. His PS4 turned off; when he turned on his PS4, he had to REDOWNLOAD ALL THE PATCHES for the game 22Gigs.

When I got home, I too had to REDOWNLOAD all thepatches, 22Gigs.

Has anyone experienced this? Or is it normal that I have to redownload everything?

Please let me know, or post your stories.

Not only that, we've received zero response from SE in this major matter. It's frustrating and ridiculous.

Only reason i have playstation plus is to save all my gear sets n hotbars lol my ps4 got corrupted once from power failure n lost everything xD

Same thing happened to me this weekend. I'm a little done with SE and their issues this weekend

Not happend to me *knocking wood* but im glad im moving over to PC sometime this week when I get my last parts for my PC build

Is this happening to all PS4's? The common theme I'm seeing is power outages.

It's not everyone; I haven't had it. But then I haven't had a power outage. Definitely feels as though something is wrong - probably relating to the launch issue where some people got launcher glitches and had to delete/reinstall (which again, didn't affect me).

Sounds alot like just corrputed data. It sucks but these things happens. And no I hardly think it happend to the majority of PS4 playerbase
