Grace Periods maybe?
Truth be told, if you are actively running content, and you get dc'd mid run you should be able to get in the game right away or a lot quicker then people just logging in. For the 10th time, I was midrun of Palace of the Dead to just take a step and get dc'd. No disconnect on my side either, my skype was running fine and my youtube video is fine too. So yeah, now I have to wait in a 3.4k queue just to even start palace of the dead again. So they should add some sort of grace period, even like a minute or two, where you can just relog in right away if you were running a duty. It isn't fair that I lose my spot cause of a random dc while im mid duty and have to wait 2ish hours to get back in game.

Definitely agree. I don't know if they have the coding and infrastructure to even allow for some kind of grace period in their queue system but it would help a ton. The combination of 45 minute queue AND it being a major gamble to enter any dungeon/duty to risk another 45+ minute queue is a rough combination.

Lately I have been able to enter instance and do them fine, but then there are times where I just. Randomly dc and back to a 45 to 2 hour queue depending how fast people log out.
-
Yes please.
I had to go to town to see my retainer.
Get d/c on zone transfer.
2 hours and 30 minutes later, I finally got back in game.
-
I completely agree. It is outrageous that this has not already been implemented and they punish people when their servers disconnect us!

I'm experiencing 2 to 3 hour queues. If my game crashes I may as well just give up on playing completely. A grace period would be nice, but then I suspect people crashing is the only reason the queue moves.

they should follow what wow does and disconnect the client after x amount of time being inactive then?

I mean they already do that, if you're afk for 30 minutes it kicks you to let in some more people for now. The main issue is that, I got kicked from balmung while in a palace run around 4:10ish, and it's about to be 7 pm here. So legit, almost 3 hours waiting to get back in game for a server side dc since everything else was fine. So I just wish they find a way to like, see that your character was in a duty and try their best to let you back in to do these duties as soon as they can after like say the first 3 minutes of dcing. This way people that were doing content can relog right away to finish said content. But they don't they just stick you at the end of a 3 hour queue to wait. Which is rather dumb
