Pool of Tribute not completing

i was one of those players who couldn't log onto their character (for 18+hours) after completing Pool of Tribute yesterday. I have just now managed to log on to find that the trial wasn't completed when I crashed out yesterday, so I've just run it again. It still says it's not completed. Whatever has been done to fix the bug hasn't been looked into far enough, as obviously this quest is STILL bugged. I've logged an in-game ticket but am raising the issue here too as I know full well what response times are like and I've already had my gaming - which I pay for - ruined for the past 3 days by SE's poor release management.

An emergency maintenance was performed on The Ruby Sea which should have solved this problem for players that have posted in this thread. As some of you have pointed out, the best course of action is to restart the FFXIV client and attempt to log back into your characters in game. If you are still having any trouble, please feel free to submit a support ticket through the game client. With the maintenance concluded, I will also be locking this thread.


I *have* submitted a support ticket through the game client. They've been lazy & rude enough just to copy and paste to me a generic response telling to file a ticket through the website. You would at least think that we'd be given the same advice.

I went to the Ruby Sea from Kugane and the next cutscene started and now i have to do the next step.

So seem its fixed, at least for me.

Can confirm that, if your trial is showing as incomplete but you've done it, and you're not in Ruby Sea already, zone into area and you should get put into a CS.
