It's to fix the serious fault with the Sussano Primal fight that this maintenance is about - SE stated already that they identified that it was a bug specifically causing the issue (namely, players were using emotes like /sit which then crashed the client when entering the Primal battle and locked them there in limbo). It's a completely different issue to the problems accessing instanced content (which is just plain congestion and will sort itself out in time).

Don't worry man, look on the bright side. If you spam Raubahn and Pippin for 30+ hours, you too may someday be one of those 5%!

Yeah, on the one hand I can see why they prioritized Susano. At least I was able to half heartedly poke Raubhan every 30 minutes or so in between leveling crafitng classes. Anyone whose character was eaten by the primal didn't even get that option.

The Susano issue was an actual bug. The bottlenecking issue is intentional.

Hopefully SE learns something valuable from this and upgrade their servers next time.

The hilarious part about this is that, apparently, they did upgrade the servers - and it still didn't help.
