Get to Stormblood without Heavensward MSQ

I'm stuck in HW because I can't complete my MSQ quests because of the instance crashing and kicking me out for 30 minutes. I am level 60 now though. Is there a way to do Stormblood side quests without finishing HW MSQ?

nope, upon walking into stormblood you wont have access to the side quest anyway. they arent till about 20 minutes in (and like 5 minutes before the next "wall" )

You can't even walk into the SB area without having finished 3.56 MSQ. Sadly to say with the instance server being a problem right now, you probably better off taking a break from the game, since 3x MSQ is mostly dungeons and trials. Some of the side quests don't open up even in HW area without having done some MSQ steps prior. Same goes for aether currents, you won't be able to fly without successfully finishing specific dungeons.

I can't finish HW msq cuz I'm stuck on Close Encounters of the VIth Kind, which makes me crash. Even after that, I still have 44 more MSQ to do to get to The Far Edge of Fate. THEN I can get to SB, I think. I wish there was a way I could do the new content side quests without having to do the story..... *sigh*
