I think NMS and this is enough punishment for us, and a good example of why we DONT need to do this.

Except the majority of people KNEW they were going to get Stormblood, so why not preorder and get the bonuses that are included?
Seriously, these problems would of been there if no one pre ordered or not, just delayed 4 days. It's a new server thats not been stress tested, along with a new expansion and the usual issues that occur from people flooding back.
So we got our early access and play time to be stress testers? as an engineer myself i know this kind of tests should be done even before the a company offer a service (in this case the new servers "location") we can manage X amount of players, X amount of data per second, X amounts of connections at a time, if is not enough just get another one that can do the job. Also if a servers goes down they should have a backup server so the service doesnt go down, its normal in high availability services like this, also since they began the prepurchase they should have aknowledge the amount of players they will get the first day and react to that making that "backup" server work as a primary too for a couple of days. And i mean, its SE we are talking about, they should already know all this.
Nah I may not get msq right away but I got mining stuff done.
The game is broken and unfinished. The server congestion is normal and understandable. What is not normal is the queue stuck (when this one don't even move ad always show the exact same number of players after a lot of time) and the Main Scenario Quest broken, leaving you in limbo unable to log in or unable to progress on the quests. This is not acceptable.
If the game wasn't finished or tested, they should postpone the release more time. There is no hurry.
We're not beta testers. If you want to use us a beta tester, give us free days or pay us for it
And then you have the first Primal fight that'll literally brick your character even if you manage to make it past everything.
Even assuming that the bottlenecks weren't there, it's still pretty danged bad.
Not exactly
Stress testers are not those who have early access, but more those who move with the mass from one check-point to the next. Some early access players decided to level first RDM or SAM and have less problems (except dungeon queues), or level up DoH/DoL to get some early cash during the early access.
Speed down, don't be part of the mass.
Oh give me a break.
