When I pre-ordered this game early access was an incentive not beta-testing

It has already been over 24 hours since the battle instances problem has been stopping thousands of players who are trying to progress with the game and unlock Stormblood content. At first it was an issue that affected not only instanced battles but DF as well. After the DF issues were adressed, it was reported that the team was limiting access to instanced battles in order to keep things running smoothly.

As of right now thousands of players have wasted hours of their lives trying to progress with the game that they want to play, and only a few lucky and persistant ones have made through. Many people have their personal reasons on why this situation is more or less aggravating, some people took off a day from work to play, some people skipped classes or maybe put other plans aside in order to enjoy the incentive they were promised when they pre-ordered Stormblood.

Some people may argue that there is content available that they could do instead of endlessly trying to complete the MSQ, that is not a lie but also a petty way to try to defend a huge AAA publisher for not doing their job correctly. Yes we can go do other things, but most of what people want to do are gated behind the MSQ.

As a consumer who has dedicated thousands of hours of his life to this game I am not only upset that I feel misled but also sad to see the development team that I followed for years struggle so much in this situation. It is important to remember that even tho all the popular figures in the Square Enix team are always communicative and charismatic does not mean that they are a part of your family, their jobs are not to make you happy, their jobs are to make money.

We were promissed an incentive, and that incentive was not delivered. I love this game and will be for the development team once this problem gets fixed. But I will for sure refrain on pre-ordering and trusting Square Enix on their promises of delivering a stable product in the future, since I am sure that with a little bit of extra care and testing all this mess could have been avoided.
