Pretty much. I was in a 4k queue TWICE because I decided to try POTD only to be kicked because "LOL no instances" last night. A lot of my friends still can't get past the Cold Steel MSQ. Others have given up and are just going to Costa De Sol to take pictures of each other swimming. Heavensward EA was pretty bad but so far Stormblood is worse.

Happened to me just an hour ago. All I wanted to do was teleport to another location before getting DCed and greeted with a 2600+ queue. Gave up and just logged off.

Looks like a great expansion so far. It would be even nicer if I could play it without having to wait 2-3 hours in advance because they wanted to pinch pennies on server infrastructure despite seeing the preorder numbers and knowing this was going to happen.

yes, 2h to log in after dinner , DC after 10 min and is over for u that day ....

Yeah, get used to it for a while. Especially over the weekend and on the 20th.

About dungeons, no, since you can just kick the disconnected person and they will get replaced automatically.

I don't get it. They knew this was going to happen, they have the preorder and early access registraion numbers, why didn't they fix server congestion BEFORE Stormblood Launch by doing free transfers and new servers?

2000+ queue on Odin EU moving by 100 every 10 minutes.

The queues do not take hours acrually. They move pretty steadily. -100 every few minutes. Even on Balmung. I'm actually of the belief that they're artificial queues so as not to crash everything by letting everyone on at once. Seems to let 100 people in every 5 or so minutes. Sometimes less.

A 2200 queue at 100 every 5 minutes is still nearly 2 hours. This is not acceptable. They should have taken the measures to contain server congestion way ahead of early access, not as an afterthought.

Then it's less than 5 minutes because at no time yesterday did I spend more than half an hour waiting even when I had a 3000+ que.

I got disconnected an hour ago and still waiting with 900 to go.
