The Thunder spells on Blm now automatically scale up once a new version is available. While at first glance this might be convenient, Blm rotation typically did not use thunder3 constantly. Instead, from a mp per dmg point of view thunder1 is more efficient. Also it's cast faster, fitting into our rotation more easily. Thunder3 was actually only used on procs.
Can we maybe get an option to switch the auto scale of skills off?
Thunder III cast time has been reduced to equivalent of Thunder I. The MP difference might be a valid point, but otherwise, it's a gain. If you're starting rotations off with Thunder III into Fire, eh, maybe you'll see a difference if the MP cost is great enough to keep you out of one last Fire spell before swapping, I guess.
It's not going to make a difference in single target sustained fights because you'll be applying the majority of the casts in umbral ice and the cast time has been reduced, and t2/4 being aoe is a massive boon for sustained aoe. It is slightly less good if you want to apply thunder before your rotation starts rather than during umbral ice, but I would say that in those cases the thunder isn't that paramount anyway (if the fight isn't lasting multiple rotations, it's probably only a minimal dps gain anyway at best).
