[SUGGESTION] Changes to UI Gauge Red Mage

The crystal should blink or flash when Dualcast Ready.

The white bar should blink or flash when 'Verstone Ready'

The blue bar should blink or flash when 'Verfire Ready'

I think the proposed changes make the UI somewhat useful besides just keeping track of white/black mana.

I love the addition of UI gauges and want them fully practical.

I think it's perfect as it is.

I agree with the OP. Its a bit strange to flaunt Job Gauges but at the same time because RDM is a proc based job, you spend all your time looking at the action bars anyway!

Most of the Gauges do feel a bit.. unnecessary to be honest. I play AST and the whole Gauge is completely useless since the ability icons change and adapt with the cards I draw.
For the other jobs, they do need to reflect procs and whatnot. If I get Thundercloud, a free Cure, Verfire/stone ready, etc.. There's lots of room for improvement here.

Well I haven't had much time to test other classes to comment. Because I have been enjoying the Ver- out of Red Mage. But if that is the case as you say, then I expect them to take in suggestions.

well now that everything is turning back to normal regarding the launch bottleneck, I figure to give this post a bump hoping for more discussion. Thank you.

I would like a visual added to show when dualcast is up. I've accidentally spent it on Jolt and started hardcasting Veraero/Verthunder more than once.

(By the way when you transform into the succubus in PotD you still have dualcast xD I was so confused that first time)

I agree with this; I can live with the procs as I already work around this (invisible hotbar near my gauge with those abilities just for the visual cue) but dual cast is a bit clunky and I've screwed up a few times. I assume I'll gradually learn... but having it on the graphic in a subtle way would really help confirm!

Not sure about the bars flashing, but maybe just really lit up for Verfire/Verstone procs. Otherwise I do agree that the job UI features should be a bit more practical, especially for people like me who don't even need most of the gauges and are just mentally keeping track of it.

Overall, the status effects that were already in place seem far more efficient and intuitive displays of information than the gauges, even if the gauges were to have display graphics for every common proc or concern worth tracking. But, they don't; at present you still have to look at the status effects, your own bars, and the gauge atop that, and the last cannot be placed nearly as closely or neatly as the other two.
