With all the mog station purchases and the numerous subscriptions, what exactly did we the player base spend our money on if we cant even progress through solo instances? All this hype over stormblood and through 2.0 to 4.0 did SE not learn at all? It is royally sad when many of use pre order a product that we are under the guise as being a finished product yet, prime example, you have servers where the community has to form lines as far as the eye can see, or in this case, as far as the game allows for distance just for one msq. Early access should not be a test of how much servers can handle, but a test to see where tweaks need to be in regards to battle system, bugs, and the like.

Poor planning by SE. Poor judgement by SE. You'd think SE would learn. You'd think FFXI would have taught SE.

Server upgrades ... HA!! More like server downgrades.

You must get upset every day during rush hour and write your government asking why they havent fixed traffic after years of it being so congested you sit for 45mins-1hr to go 5 miles. Cuz thats literally the exact same thing.

Last time I checked, I don't sit in rush hour for 45mins-1hr to be teleported back to where I started from and have to still wait another 45m-1hr.

(Also, I've been in server-disconnect 90k far longer than rush hour both to and from work today.)

Honestly, I'm starting to get a little miffed here. I woke up early, played for a bit, hit Cold Steel, heard about the problems and logged off to let them get things sorted. That was 15 hours ago. And so far, the only responses have been a vaguely worded temporary measure that obviously did NOT work, and an apology from Yoshi-P. I mean, we paid good money for a product that we expected to be ready, it wasn't, and, as if to add insult to injury, my subscription renewed today. Yes, it's meant to auto-renew, and I'm certainly not complaining about the fees, but it really does feel like a kick in the teeth to pay on another layer for a game that is unplayable and will likely remain so for some time. I'd have expected them to at least do an emergency maintenance, take the servers down, have the forum mods throw some details our way to placate the torch and pitchfork crowd. Y'know...do SOMETHING! ANYTHING! But there's nothing. And to make matters even worse STILL, transfer to a less populated world, which is something I'd been planning on doing for a while now, is impossible for the exact same reasons I can't progress in the MSQ. I'm starting to feel like we got taken for a ride...

Quite the show of incompetence on the devs part, and why people defend them is beyond me at this point.

I am now imagining this in my head. Our rush hours are already as bad as it gets, but it would be hilarious if my car actually gets teleported back. At least then I could pick another route, that gets me home probably faster. Thx for the laugh so, the constant dc's today were getting real frustrating.

It's not exactly defending, it just feels like you guys never took part of the launch of any other online game before this one. This things happens a lot, all wow launchs were a disaster except legion, diablo 3 were a disaster, watch dogs online mode worked only days later, the division, archeage...
with this we can conclude that its not as easy to be prepared to this things as you guys think.
What will show if SE is competent or not is the speed in which they fix all of that, wow took almost a week in Draenor to fix most of the annoying problems.

When i read some of these threads I KNOW they've never played an MMO before.

To me, this is normal.

This is why you don't call out sick on an MMO when it's just release. It's been like this since 1998.

However, these folks have all the answers; i would heavily suggest they apply to Square Enix (and other mMOs). I am sure they would love your expertise.
