Homogenization

So ... let's skip the congestion discussion because I can't even right now. Why did paladin , and warrior need access to my stun? Why did I also lose my damage reductions? Why is my damage dealt down now for every tank to use... What even makes me different or special anymore apart from having a big sword? The less variety we have the worse this game becomes. :(

You have a BIG sword, they have a BIG axe and a small sword.

I thought it wasn't about the size of your sword...

Mained WAR/PLD since 2.1, and never touched DRK until a few weeks ago. Was really enjoying the playstyle and fluidity of the job, and it also felt pretty tanky even at lower level (55ish).

Took it into The Aery, and it just felt like crap.

I feel for ya DRKs. Here's hoppin yall get some love. But we know how SE treats classes *cough* PLD 3.x *cough*

Aesthetics is a big difference for starters. I hate the shield and sword look, so I know PLD will always be off the table for me.

It's like they got rid of all the ice cream flavors except vanilla, and you can pick 5 toppings to go on your plain vanilla. pretty depressing stuff.

Yeah! Why did they unfairly screw over the best tank in the game to help out the other ones?! Those jerks!

Okay, but in all seriousness? All three tanks do the same job and require the same tools to do it. Unless you'd rather them have gone a different route and take provoke away from everyone but PLD? That'd make them unique still right? Yes, but it would be poor design since everyone needs that tool. Same thing where DRK is concerned. Sorry mate, but there has to be some level of balance. They still each play their own ways.

Rhysati DRK was never the best tank but other than appearance it doesn't really feel different than the others now. As for saying all tanks need certain skill i agree, but half the skills are poof gone or shared now. Some have been consolidated into new abilities , but tell me do you really enjoy having to work to learn things you already knew?
