You know, I'm sure this will be flooded by spoilers by everyone that completed the game on day 1, and starts say here "but this... wasnt' better that..." so I've decided to take a little break from forums to avoid plot exposed.
Yes the mods maybe can obfuscate/remove but if you get get on forum on bad timing, and see in front of your face thread titles like "why <name> saved Y'shtola from doom? She deserves doom!", your experience is doomed too!

I suggest turning off the shout chat and various social linkshells for a few days as well to avoid spoilers.
Not a bad idea. It's not just the spoilers but the rant threads about how this and that sucks bad.
I don't think you should worry that much. Of course we are all different but I personally found that spoilers dont bother me that much. If the scene is done well it can work regardless.
Think of the infamous Aerith dies scene.
I knew it in advance. I knew where and how it would happen. I even knew how party members would react so I took Yuffie with me to see her cry. (And because she was a beast with the materia I gave her).
And It still brought me to tears.
So even if someone spoils me that...for example. Gosetsu and Aymeric kill each other in a duel It will still work if the scene is done well.
I like to add one to the silence shout/yell chat logs. I recommend set your status to "Busy", and disable it only when you need it (like accept invites form other players), because some people likes to troll spoiling you by /tells.
Turn off all chat, embargo on all forums.
HW we had an FC officer race to finish to tell everyone he is fighting Knights of the round and spoil the thordran fight. Needless to say, not an fc I am with anymore
Well, they're not going full Atlus at least.
But if you want to avoid spoilers, don't look at the forums and avoid the shout chat... Could probably put it in a separate chat tab entirely.
I expected to see a few "They broke my class!" threads, but as for spoilers, I've never really cared about them myself.
