Wow... biggest change to FSH in SB....

According to the patch notes we can now use consumables while fishing, meaning we can chug cordials without leaving Patience. That's HUGE improvement for fishing efficiency...

Another change that improves Fishing in my opinion is the fact spear fishing is like mining and botany; not as heavily RNG-based as rod fishing is.

Yeah I'm a bit amazed but fishing is really getting some love

I didn't mind the RNG until the introduction of collectables and aetherial reduction...FSH from decently fun RNG (like actual fishing) to RNG hell.

isnt it random what fish you get for poking into those bubbles? then again they can be timebased etc

The Truth of Oceans skill leads me to believe that there might be timed spearfishing nodes like there are for botany and mining.

I'm just happy we finally have an offhand like the other gathering classes do.

well...it is only GP though which is nice I suppose - more perception (and GP!) would have been better though :D

GP is the only important stat anyway. If the spears had gathering/perception on them, then the requirements for fish would just be higher to not make them too easy to get
