That is actually true. A person's perception of time often slows when in anticipation of something. The classic example is "a watched pot never boils". If you sit and watch, wait and anticipate the pot of water boiling, it will feel much longer than it actually takes.

I'm just happy that E3 is this week, I can get hyped about God of War 4 while waiting for the new content.
