Triple Triad needs tweaking badly...

Why is Triple Triad largely RNG based, with tournaments being roulette/roulette majority of the time, NPCS being able to play any limit of 4-5* cards.

Why does a mini-game have to be so frustrating? Isn't this supposed to be a fun activity but with all these stupid gimmicks its makes unfun.

Why cant NPCS be limited to the amount of 4-5*'s they can be bring? Why must you intentionally screw players by placing this limit on us??

I just want TT from 8, its supposed to be a fun relaxing side mini-game, not some RNG rage inducing game.

If you must f'ing have plus make it all open cause not knowing when the bullshit RNG is going to hit us beyond frustrating, its not skill at all. You are just making cards low drop rate and annoying ass NPCS to keep players invested.

Stop making bullshit RNG to soak players time, why not begin adding something worthwhile to keep players attention.

And if you MUST have it so RNG on plus you need to have it so the drop rate on the cards is increased.. The fact that you listen to zero feedback at all on one few popular mini-games is absurd

Hmmm sounds more like you need to learn the various rules. If anything Triple Triad is one of the few things that actually needs improvement ( besides more cards ). Most people are unaware of all the rules.

I do agree the limitations on the 4-5* cards should be abolished finally. The total number of cards have increased, so we should have broken the limit by now.

Some time ago, I made a topic about randomness having no place in tournaments (mainly looking at the Roulette and Swap rules), but it got no replies. I definitely still stand by that.

As for NPCs, I can understand that they make them harder due to being easy to manipulate sometimes. Some (but not all) NPCs downright make random plays when there's a play that guarantees a win (or a draw instead of a loss) without needing knowledge of the player's hand. That is a big flaw right there. Additionally, after you play an NPC enough, you learn the general pattern of cards and card location that they play, and can win most of the time as a result. Long ago, I used to know a pattern that beat King Elmer III everytime when going first. It wasn't due to my cards being better than his, as my cards were largely 1* with one 3*, but because he would always fall for the exact same three or four sets of patterns where I'd Plus him and win. I only mildly agree of SE's decision to allow NPCs to bypass the rules is okay because of those things. Now of course, the Chaos rule makes strategizing to beat the opponent a lot more difficult in many cases.

Thank goodness the Random rule was removed though...

Getting into the game 7 years after this thread was started and its still miserable. How many times do you have to beat an NPC to get their card when playing the NPC even once is a miserable experience? Ive beaten a Chaos NPC 14 times and still no card, Chaos is already RNG intensive and the reward has to be as well? My brain says uninstall the whole game because of how miserable this minigame is

Yes, but they need to implement new rules to make lower star cards not worthelss, Like it was in FFVIII , where it had a "Level Rule" , (only allowed cards to a certain level)
