Audio error - Discord potential problem

So I've tried a lot of things on my own, but I've run into an issue.

I recently got some USB headphones, and the problem didn't occur before switching to USB as I used 3.5mm jacks before then. Often times whenever I launch FF14, after the login process my sound will switch from my headset to my speakers and generally screw up any other programs using my headset/mic.

This happens most often when I have discord open, and it'll make it so my mic doesn't work in discord nor my headset work for FF14, and I'll have to entirely relaunch both of them. This happens sometimes too though when not on discord and it just automatically switches to my speakers.

Anyone else ran into this? Drivers are up to date and all my hardware is brand new. Thanks

Edit: This /only/ occurs with FF14, I've played loads of other games often and no other game has caused this issue
