Hyper Lightspeed
Anyone feel our lv 68 trait, Hyper Lightspeed is a tad bit... useless?
With a cooldown of 150s, how much of a CDR can this talent actually offers?
30-50sec?
I'm not saying this number is small, in fact with enhanced benefic2 I'm sure it'll be a very potent trait, it is just that I don't see myself using Lightspeed on cooldown to make that trait a valuable new addition to our toolkit. And I don't have the feeling giving me lightspeed more often, even twice as often, will make the spell more valuable.
I usually reserve Lightspeed for O-shit situation just to have access to many instant spells but I rarely need more than 1-2 instant spells when I do so.
Since lightspeed does not reduce recast time it does not really increase our healing potential (Except for Aspected Helios... we save 0.5sec).
Regarding damaging skills, if I ever use it this way, it is when I need to move a lot or simply wanna save mana. The gain from going under the recast time is lost because of the -25% dmg debuff.
Again, the problem isn't the potency of the trait itself as it can significantly reduce the cd of Lightspeed, it's just that I don't find myself using lightspeed all that often. Maybe it will change with SB I dunno.
How does everyone feel about this trait? Excited? U no care?
Do you think it's a worthy addition or not?
Side question, if Hyper Lightspeed instead of reducing the CDR would reduce by 1sec the Recast time. Would you find this OP or would it make Lightspeed more appealing to you?

lightspeed is a but situational and i dont use it often, but during savage progression (or if you have a really bad group with people dying all the time) lightspeed is stellar. i can see hyper lightspeed being very good since enhanced benefic 2 already procs a crit. ligjtspeed isnt really for increasing hps, its so you can heal while moving

Lightspeed is also good to save MP on 24-man raids, when you have to Rez a lot of people...
Maybe we'll need the extra MP since we'll loose LA and we may or may not go with the new Shroud of Saints...

I consider this an incidental benefit. If it hits, great. I'm more happy that I got a crit on my Benefic I/II than I am about the cooldown reduction.

Bleh... I hope they change it for something more interesting. It's not that it's weak, it's going to significantly reduce the cd. It's just that it's boring and not really necessary. It's a bit like the WHM lilies. It'll be there.

Gotta say, Lightspeed for me has been the go to tool for throwing out instant aspected Helios for those group/raid wide hits. Running to the centre of grouped up members to pop it before they all spread out again is fantastic. When I used to main WHM it was Swiftcast but as AST I have access to lightspeed which keeps Swiftcast safe for those much needed emergency raises.
Increased availability of this spell is fine by me.
I love to run and heal. Ima free spiriiiiiiiit *rides away at lightspeed*

Lightspeed is a very useful skill. I use it a lot and I'm glad to see its cooldown being reduced, though I'm not sure if it really needed to be reduced. But hey, buffs are buffs.
I primarily use Lightspeed as a means to speed-resurrect allies, especially when Swiftcast is on cooldown. Combined with an Arrow card buff, you can cast Ascend at a ridiculous rate. I also occasionally use it as a secondary swiftcast to double Helios in a pinch or as a means to cast AoE heals while moving. This can be extremely useful in certain situations where you are forced to move for an extended period of time to avoid getting killed by mechanics, but are also forced to heal to prevent your party from dying. An example of this would be NidhoggEX if your party is low on health heading into the next Akh Morn and you need to get to Waymark A while also healing the party.
To be honest, I had completely forgotten that it reduced MP cost. In any situation where I'm having to raise a lot of people, and am therefore using a lot of MP (like learning parties), I run hard MP sustain, prioritizing Spear and Ewer cards over offensive cards. So MP is not a concern for me when I'm playing AST.

Lightspeed is a great skill to heal while moving or even for burst aoe heal that drain a lot of mana.
I like using it as a second smili-swiftcast.
Sometimes, I even use it to spam some gravity, even if I know it reduce damages, it still allow me to do damages with less mp cost and while moving (and be able to instant cast a heal when i remove cleric).
It's also good to hardcast a raise since it has 5s cast time.

Its not particularly exciting, but its not completely worthless either. They could probably have had something more interesting but it seems that all three healers have a trait like this. SCH's one is probably the most useful.

you could just use lightspeed a bunch for the mana efficiency.
all it really does is let you heal while moving, honestly the only fight where it's "main" effect is really clutch is the photonlaserwhirlwind dance in A11S
