With all the changes in 4.0, why is Freeze still a thing?

The only use it has really is pvp for the bind effect, in which case it should be a pvp only skill.

I think they should change it to add a shiva puddle ground aoe (kinda like shadowflare) with a dot/slow/heavy/maybe something like paralysis effect etc. Just something so it's not a complete waste of hotbar space in pve.

While I'm moaning about Freeze might as well add a plea to unnerf Flare/Foul, we were supposed to be the aoe damage class, why did we get nerfed the same as Holy (a healer skill)?

Freeze, tether, and Tribind are all the same skill. They really didn't cut situational skills, so much as skills that they feel were downgrades even if they had a purpose. Why do healers still have protect, instead of it being a reduce vuln cd? 0 mp cost. 3 second cast time. Will be swapped out for a terrabad cs whenever people enter a dungeon. Cast again if someone is bad and dies.

Freeze is an optimal AoE DPS spell when spell speed is too high to get two ticks during Transpose->FireIII.

did you mean blizzard 2? freeze has a 100 potency without buffs being added in and can be cast from anywhere in range, whereas blizzard 2 is a 50 potency attack you need to execute inside the heart of a trash pull to use properly. one is clearly better suited to blm than the other lol.
