So this is a question I've wanted to ask since we found out some Job skills were being made into role actions....
What happens to their animations? Do they become a universal animation for each job?
So in this case Machinist uses a harp. Or do they become individualised....Bard keeping the harp animation, Machinist getting their own?
Honestly a lot of beautiful animations/flavor may be lost :/
I'd even warrant saying that when slotting a Role Skill that the name might change on the hotbar, so Bard can still use Swiftsong, and Machinist can still use Peloton.
Just using this as an example but it obviously effects more Jobs too.

My guess is that it will either have a new animation, or a generic pose one on the character while having the same flair/effects as what it has now.

Pretty sure they will have new animations. It would be pretty silly seeing a MCH with a harp. Come on Pom I thought you were better than this.

DRG in the animations video used, what seemed to be Low Blow (a sweet push-kick), which is most likely either Feint or Leg Sweep. Either way, they never had that animation before.
