Buying advice
Hi, me and my boyfriend are looking to get a house in the goblet, with the upcoming expansion, we are hoping for a drop in house pricing as people will move. However, when would be the best time to buy? Can we realistically get one at the server price?
We are on ragnarok so everything is kind of expensive.
Any advice, be it location or how to save some Gil's is welcomed. Ty

SE hasn't stated anything about house prices changing, I wouldn't expect a drop in base prices. There's already a system in place to decrease the price of a plot the longer it is available. When the best time to buy is up to you, I would suggest as soon as you see a plot open because there's no promise that it will remain open for the price to drop.
I can't advise you on how realistic it is to get a house on your server. I suspect a lot of people will move to Shirogane, but thats just a guess and if you're housing is already full I wouldn't expect any plots to remain vacant for long.
As for saving gil, craft and gather a lot to sell on the MB. Use centurio seals to buy aetheryte tickets or run everywhere if you really want to count every gil. But really, you've left it kinda late to start saving for a house.

With the moving function coming, there will likely be some plots in goblet (especially goblet) that open up while people move to what they feel are greener pastures. When the gates to Shirogane purchasing open up you'll need to be on your toes and ready to purchase a plot at server price, then just keep checking the ward listings for the goblet. Don't forget to check subdivision listings too. If you don't manage to snag a house while everyone's playing musical chairs don't fret, houses get repo'd by the server all the time, just check on the hour mark whenever you can and you should run into something. Now as far as prices when buying from players going down? Don't count on it.

Housing won't be available in new area for a while, to give people a chance to progress and have access to it. Just keep saving for now and see upcoming news , chances are once players are given access you can start buying in older areas.

Is there housing currently available on your world? If the answer is no, then I would not count on plots that are relinquished because of moving to the new wards to sit there (in the Goblet or any other old ward) long enough for the price to be lowered (plot prices degrade in price to 50% of the original price over a period of time until they are purchased.) As far as base prices - in Heavensward SE actually *lowered* the prices on all worlds to that of the previously designated "poor" worlds. In some cases, prices were halved already. I would not expect the base prices to change again - keep on saving up and keeping your eye out for a plot! One way to force yourself to save enough gil is to designate a retainer as your savings account - put half of all gil you make every day on that retainer and never withdraw it...eventually, you should have enough saved up at least to purchase a small plot. Good luck with the housing purchase!

Ty for the advice, gonna wait then.
for the money no worries, I barely spend anything and I actually managed to raise my 3 salvage ready for Stormblood and I plan on selling as much as I can crafting mats.
Same for my bf, he'll be farming a ton to make money.
We currently have over 40m together.

There are small plots in the Goblet on Ragnarok fairly regularly. Been at least three in the last six weeks. They cost 3.75 mil or maybe a little more, depending on position. So keep checking the wards for empty plots! And just in case you don't get lucky before then, I'm part of a small FC that's hoping to buy a medium or large plot in Shirigane once the new wards open there ( or in the old areas if one gets released by an FC moving) If we get one, I'll be relinquishing my small plot; if we can hook up in game, I'd happily do that with you on standby at the door to grab it once it's available. I wouldn't ask any payment from you either
