I'm a L34 Summoner, so have leveled up Thaumaturge to L15, but his Thunder spell is not showing up as a cross class spell when playing arcanist/summoner. I did level up a conjuror to L8 for Protect and Aero, so is that the problem? I see utubes of arcanists casting "thunder" so what am I missing? I can use Aero instead, but Thunder is a bit more powerful.

Thunder was removed from arcanists and smns in 2.1 or before iirc. It was replaced with blizzard 2.
If you check the tooltip for Thunder, you'll see that it's affinity is THM and BLM. Not ACN, SMN, or SCH.
Meaning you cannot cast Thunder on ACN.
Thunder was removed as a cross class shortly after 2.0 came out.
The smn was fairly weak at launch, and once they tweaked it thunder put us over the top so we took a bit of a nerf back then after some overbuffing.
