Watch out, talking about actually doing the mechanics of fights is almost considered blasphemy among the XIV playerbase. Honestly, it kind of put me off of raiding at the highest level for good recently, because I went back and did A1S with a farm party, when the previous time I tried it was when it was still pretty new and you had to have a well organized team to even attempt it. Clearing it 56 times over the course of three hours with a slapped together party, and completely ignoring the mechanics, kind of just made me disappointed given that before trying to organize a raid group and even clear the first boss of it was difficult. Don't get me wrong, steamrolling it was great for making relic progress, and the party itself was a fun one, but it's kind of a shock to your system to see what was once difficult to clear content turn into something that takes no effort to breeze through.....

You mean the general populous. You see that sort of whining everywhere, which for many of us, would be most prominent in the gaming community as a whole.

Blm losing raging strikes,smn/sch losing dots, war losing 50% berserk, pld combo being aligned with riot blade, drk losing scourge, the list goes on.

As for actually learning soar? I never was very good at imagining straight lines, so I'll just live by the motto, "Mechanics are for cars!"

we do not know for sure if all these changes are a true dps loss or not, it is possible they accounted and adjusted things for that in ways we can't see yet.

You're ignoring 1 very big thing. New secondary stats. The one for DPS is going to add a lot of DPS because it acts as a second check for an additional crit attack.
