With the lose of Shroud wouldn't Whm need a better means of regaining Mp?

Ast has Draw 30sec CD (Mp card) extend/enhance and Lucid Dreaming

Sch has Aetherflow 60sec CD, energy drain, and Lucid Dreaming

Whm has Assize 90sec CD 10% Mp return and Lucid dreaming

This doesn't seem right to me. Unless Assize is going to have a short cd or better Mp return, then Ann is going to be running out of Mp a lot faster then the other 2 without proper management. Idk it just seems unfair to Whm.

Assize is going to be cut down to 60s (or 48s with 3 lillies....)

We also have Thin Air which nullifies all MP costs for 12 seconds. 120 second cooldown if I remember correctly.

WHM gets shroud back (at a slightly longer duration) through crossclass. And as someone mentioned, Assize's CD is going to be reduced. 3 lilies isn't realistic, though, as it means avoiding using Tetra and Asylum to save MP, or even popping Assize before 3 lilies have procced. And to get those procs you'll need to spam cure a lot, which might happen on raid bosses but regen + asylum will probably take care of auto attacks even in savage content.

To give you an idea of how unlikely this is... introducing some new people to a10s this week, my last kill I used Benefic 11 times. Sometimes >1 minute between casts. And only this much because people were making mistakes. You'll need 15 cures on average for 3 lilies. (Yeah, we have echo and gear now, but progression doesn't increase usage that much -- most heals are planned out for specific higher damage attacks, spamming heals on the GCD for more than very short phases is not really a thing. Which is one reason we have the DPS meta, incidentally.)

Don't think MP will be much of an issue anymore. Shorter CD Assize, Thin Air, an extended MP refresh.
Not as good as AST extending theirs for 10 seconds, along with lower base MP for whatever reason, but what can you do.

ah, yeah for got about Thin Air, not sure if i like the CD on it. have to see if it's OP or not yet. most likely can use it to do a triple Raise...

Of all the changes and problems WHM had, MP management was by far the most well handled.

Oh yea, I completely forgot about Thin Air. That would definitely help with Holy Spam, and using it just before popping Lucid dreaming would be a very big MP regan.

Really, this is the first I'm hearing about this, but I'm happy about it. Hopefully, they do something about the Lily mechanic tho, but I have a feeling that if it's going to be extremely hard to get 3 lilies they'll make it easier. Just look at the shit Ast had to go though to get where it is today.

AST can't exactly do everything at once. If they're using Ewer's MP refresh (which has to be randomly drawn) they won't have another upgraded Balance or Arrow for a longer duration. If they use an extended/enhanced Ewer, they'll simply be behind their potential with other raid utilities. Ewer along with Spire is used for splitting Balance, Arrow, etc. across the party in 8-man raids, so there is a decision to be made here.

Basically, the AST specific MP refresh is locked behind RNG and it takes up space from their other raid utility. They'll have to pick one or the other before going on cooldown. WHM doesn't have to make that choice, or RNG draw a card, or sacrifice any of the potential in it's kit to access it's unique MP regen. You just always get a 10% mp refresh every minute or less with Assize, no strings attached. Don't forget Thin Air, which negates all MP costs for 12 seconds.

As of the Famitsu tooltip review Aetherize has been nerfed to 10% mana regen, and many SCH abilities cost 30% more mana than their counterparts. Energy Drain is the same as always but its expenditure on stacks makes it an unpreferred option if you want to be able to use indom/excog/lustrate/soil, and its mana regen is fairly poor. Ideally it would be best if SCH could have just kept Aetherize as the only regen mechanic, because I don't think anyone who plays the class ever wanted to clone WHM playstyle with a shroud of saints mechanic, but they seem to want to make sure we take it for some reason.

Remember when healers had individual class identities in ARR? Is it me or are we quickly slipping away from that?
