Inferno Totem/Kupo nut Charm

How much would you need of Inferno Totem/Kupo nut Charm to exchange for a weapon?

The way they made it sound was it was a one to one ratio, but we'll have to wait and see. If the drop rate on the item is low, its 1 to 1 prob, if its more than 1 than you'll need 4-6 for a weapon or more.

if it is 1:1 with low drop rate, then whats the point? you can farm forever (like me and others are doing the past two months) and will never get the drop.

I dont want to assume, but rather have a response from SE.

I assumed it would be a guaranteed (or at least 50%) drop rate if you do it on hard, but would require multiple Totems/Charms to exchange for a weapon. So like 5-10 runs on hard = 1 weapon.

I got the impression is a set number for charms/nuts = weapon. Not 1/1
