Instead of complaints, let's find solutions. What would you do with lillies that doesn't make them a sch/ast?
I know some have given ideas but they get buried in the "I want things for savage raiding (even when barely 2% of the population even clears savage raids)" comments which don't even go into the detail. Give them real ideas, not just "raid utility"

The changes to WHM remind me a lot of Holy Priest in WoW. I'd like to see some of the differences in Holy Priest be applied, actually.
For example... Holy Priests have Holy Words. These are long cooldown abilities of 3 types: damage, single target heals and aoe heals.
They then have serendipity (similar to Lily's kind of). A passive that reduces the cooldown on your holyword spells by 6 seconds whenever you use the regular GCD's corresponding ability. That is your single target GCD will reduce the holy word single target heal, your damage gcd's will reduce the holy word damage gcd and the same for aoe heals.
This is predictable, and rewards using your abilities with more MP free/powerful cooldowns.
There is then a 3 min cooldown ability (granted, it's a talent there) that increases the effect of serendipity by 100%.
I like this more, because it's less RNG based and more predictable in use, and works for AoE heals, DPS and single target heals

That's a great way to add shields at the same time you heal people.
One thing I thought about with lillies is they should just grow over time without us having to cast cure or cure II. Lillies grow by themselves, if they have to change the recast numbers around that's fine but the whole way of creating lillies how they have it right now could be more fun and naturally growing would be better in my opinion.
At the same time, could give them some form of Afflatus Misery to have another stance, because why not. For both of these I don't mean an exact copy of course, but something that makes sense for this game.
Maybe instead of having the RNG tied to Cure I and Cure II, they could make it so its linked to all White Mage healing spells? Both Confession and Lillies are generated by all White Mage spells. The White Mage will be able to generate Confession and Lillies much easier.
I mean, how often does a White Mage use Cure spells on non-tanks?
The lilies should be generated from crits across the board, not just on Cure I/II. Even that small change would contribute massively to making WHM a viable job in 4.x, although that change alone still won't save WHM from being the laughingstock. The complete lack of real improvement on the job compared to AST/SCH just kills it, bringing it to a raid would actually actively harm the party.

and give them Dia a holy aspected DoT that lowers defense.
Since we're talking hypothetical, I'll throw one out there.
First I would change the acquisition of lillies so that they
1. Grow slowly while in combat
2. Gain the next lily (or add progress of one full lily) when using water-aspected spells/abilities.
Then instead of the shield ability, I'd add Bubble (however they have to tune it up to 2x hp buff) as one of the water aspected abilities. Fluid Aura could be one of the others (leaving damage on the skill so you'd actually use it).
Then I'd have a single skill to consume the lillies: Summon flowers. It would be a ground aoe you put down, 1 flower spawned for each lily in your bar. They could grant some buffing effect for 15-20 seconds, and apply a debuff on nearby enemies when they expire.
The issue with WHM isn't so much the new mechanic, as WHM will heal perfectly well. The issue WHM has currently, and will have based on the information we have, is raid utility.
My suggestion, given the direction WHM is going, Auto-raise would fit their toolkit well. Reflect could be an interesting spell... block one attack and deal damage at x potency. Esunaga maybe?
