Advice for AST noob?

So, I know about all the cards and what they do, but I was wondering what classes I should use them on first(like what class has priority)

This is what I am thinking of so far.
Bolt: Tank
Balance: Ninja or BLM priority, any other DPS class if NIN/BLM not there
Arrow: A DPS class
Spear: Dragoon or Ninja
Ewer: any magic class with low MP(WHM priority). Tank if all magic classes are doing fine with MP
Spire: Whatever DPS is lowest on TP

Here's the briefest run down on card basics I can give:

Bole: Tank - yes.
Balance: Any and all DPS benefit from Balance. I tend to give it to MNK and DRG most because they don't benefit from skill speed as much as others will. NIN and BRD (pre WM BRD) also. But really any DPS can have Balance and all will love it.
Arrow: BLM gets the most benefit out of the speed. BRD, MCH, and NIN also benefit. Avoid giving it to DRG because extra skill speed kills their TP fast. MNK has a similar problem.
Spear: Good for anyone with oGCDs. DRG, BRD, MCH, MNK.
Ewer: Yes. But don't give it to BLM because they shouldn't have a mana issue. You can give it to a DRK if he turns off Darkside, but if he doesn't the Ewer will have no effect.
Spire: Yes.

Yeah, should have mentioned like Cynfael said, Spire, Ewer, Bole, and even Spear are usually going to be RR fodder. I pre RR and in case of need is what my list is for.

Bole: In theory, tank. In reality, almost always Royal Road fodder or Redraw it
Balance: pretty self-explanatory
Arrow: BLM loves you forever for this. As Marina noted, TP-munching Jobs may not appreciate it so much
Spear: Redraw or RR it unless you have a very specific reason for using it
Ewer: Redraw or RR it unless someone actually needs it
Spire: Redraw or RR it unless someone actually needs it

Basically take any super-situational card and do something else with it if you can't see a need for it.
