A question about Luminous (Element) Crystals

I leveled my dragoon up to 60 and finished the side and main quests. However, I am taking a liking to White Mage. I started my anima weapon quest with dragoon, but I would like to use the crystals for my WHM cane (once I get it to level 60). Once I get my WHM to 60, will I be able to continue the quest with my WHM instead of my dragoon? I don't want to abbandon the quest and restart with my Mage. I'm afraid if I do, won't I loose the crystals I already gathered? Because I litterally have 3 out of 6 sets needed in crystals. I would hate to loose that progress.

You can't "continue" the existing quest with WHM instead of DRG.
You can restart that stage of the anima with WHM if you finish it with DRG. You can also wait until you have all of the crystals (or more), then abandon the DRG version and pick up the WHM version - you don't lose the crystals if you abandon the quest.

In general - if something (even a quest item) is in your inventory you won't lose it if you abandon the quest. If it is in Key Items then you might.
