Suggestion for desynth [question]

Hi, I started my crafting a bit late, they're almost all 60 now ^^ (cooking 57!)
and I wanted to also level desynth, but without following the propper patch cycle, I had some hard moment, like going from ARR to HW,
I currently face the same issue with BLM stuck at 170 whereas Weaver is 205 and Goldsmith is 220.
Goldsmith got a VERY nice boost from A1S, I do the hunt to get the cheap cloth for Weaver but...

I'm kinda stuck with Blacksmith... weapon drops are extremely rare in any dungeon and I rarely win the roll. Sceal weapon cost a whole day of sceals wich means I have 30-40% chance to get 0.5 point per day...
I've read that people recommand farming primal, but again, farming 3 Bismarks for maybe half a point doesn't sound like an effective option to me. Especially that some group style manage to not meet the dps requirement.

Any advice? Or sceals and stones weapon are really the way to go? (kind hurts considering the time it takes to get 1)

Back in ARR, desyn had some purposes, including (1) Mastercraft Demimateria, (2) Fieldcraft/Battlecraft Demimateria, (3) primal demimateria, (4) Desyn of Silver Bazaar items for Zodiac Weapons and (5) skimpy swimsuits. Back in ARR, I generated all my own Mastercraft demi for making my own crafting tools. In HW, I bought all of them for making my i195 tools... I had a good number saved up since ARR, and then I just bought a few more when I saw the price was low. I never had to desyn anything to obtain something I needed. In contrast, the investment of training up desynthesis is gigantic. You botch a lot of things for nothing to get the numbers to rise. Thus, I never recommended anyone to level desynthesis since HW. Similar to you, I pushed my GSM desyn a bit higher using the i210 accessories, but that's about it. I didn't really work on other classes.

I do not know what's ahead of us. I do not know what SE's plan is for desyn in Stormblood. I hope they have done something to make it easier... and more equal between classes... to level desyn, as well as to make desyn having some real, new purpose(s). But before we know SE's plan, I'd say don't push too hard on it yet... don't overspend time and money on something you don't know if it's needed yet.

Yeah it feels like SE left desynth in the dust for a majority of 3.x. It was only useful for a brief moment of time to desynth some items to get Glass Fibers quickly before people had their Moogle Beast Tribe leveled up enough to avoid the hassle of Desynthesis.

Adamantite Francesca is available for 5,000 GC seals if you have nothing to spend those on, but I would suggest Crystal Bells.

Blacksmith desynth is one of the harder ones to level. It isn't too late to just reset desynth progress and switch to an easier one if you so desire.
