Will be posible to fly in 2.0 or future expansions?
why?
- Airships controled
- Personal flying machines (like ingame Intro)
- Airship battles.
I know this is a quite far away option, but what u think if the new server was ready to use a system to move free in the air too?

I've never seen the reasoning for wanting to fly in an MMO, but I've also never played WoW (or anything besides FFXI). Does it serve some purpose?
If it is added, I hope there's some reason for it aside from the novelty of flying. Perhaps a floating dungeon or something.
I am neither for nor against it. I suppose you could use this post to like if you don't care, but want them to make it have a purpose, if they choose to add it.

i know there are too much WoW haters (i am not saying u are one ^^) who dont want to jump, swim, fly, etc. But this Final Fantasy is full of high-tech Imperials with flying machines, airships, flying beasts.. i dont say must be something to be implemented now or in a future, but must SquareEnix to prepare the new server to be able to add it in a future?
I don't like personal flight for many reasons, but there should definitely be Airship battles of some kind. I'd also like to very much see a true floating active city.
yeah but think about personal flying not as mount. Think about a posible expansion where u need to fly between floating isles, fighting dragons in the air, etc. Not all are mounts, Content is there too. I am asking if they have to allow servers to implement this in the future.
Raistlin Majere should have been a midlander hume lol. You could get away with it on xi, because Taru had the best mage stats...

Hm... dont actually know what to pick.
I played WoW for a few years after my break from FFXI, and the feeling of
flying mounts gave "Exploration" a new ground.
It was kinda cool, you could sit on rooftops with your dragon mount showing off.
(ya there were alot of rare mobs in there & once you got one you obviously wanted to show it off.)
I also remember spending hours / days camping certain mobs that dropped a rare mount, or simmilar.
The diffrence here is that FFXIV's current NM's have a decent droprate,
but the repops are utterly ridicolous.
I wish they would go back to proper "Rare" spawned NM's with certain pop condition etc.
Now thats sort of off topic, but hopefully it will get implemented in 2.0
So flying mounts...im not sure, maybe mmo's need a new concept regarding mounts.
WoW already got Ground, flying & underwater mounts.... but what else is there to be invented?

The only "New" thing i can see is what SE already are planning / thinking of
adding such as mount breeding / mount customization.
may as well if they aren't going to add sneak and invis lol.
