PS4 controller issue

Hello! Okay so I currently play on a PS4 with a Dualshock 4 controller and wireless keyboard. This morning when I logged into the game the controls for the PS4 controller were unresponsive, I exited the game, restarted the PS4 and resynced the DualShock controller. When I start the FFXIV client the controller is unresponsive but will allow navigation and login using the keyboard. Once the game has loaded there is still no response from the PS4 controller or either the keyboard.

This issue is only with the FFXIV client and is not impacting any of the controller or keyboard functions and any other games. Any suggestions or ideas on how to fix this?

Just an idea, but is it set in your in-game FFXIV options to have the mouse/keyboard mode active rather than controller mode? Try signing in and see how the options are there maybe?

Well like I said once I actually get logged in even the keyboard and mouse stopped working. I can use the 8 6 4 2 on the number pad as cardinal directions, 0 acts as enter and the + will bring up my menu. Using those I was able to navigate to my settings and I am still set for controller

I even tried deleting the settings file on my PS4 but even that didn't help.

Well just deleted the game and we'll try to reinstall

So I uninstall the game and reinstall the game fresh and still after starting the FFXIV client my controller is still unresponsive and the only two buttons that work are the PS button and share button.

Any suggestions besides just deleting my account and waiting for Destiny 2 lol

Do you have another Dualshock controller that you can use?

No and don't have $50 to go out and try getting another one but like I said the keyboard won't even work with the game now.

I submitted an email to SE's technical support which I hear is nothing but a damn joke, was hoping posting on here would have gotten a response from their support but I guess that's too f'cking much to ask lol

Oh well at least it's a holiday weekend, maybe I'll get something back in the next few weeks preferably before I'm billed for my next cycle or in time to cancel stormblood pre-order haha
