Stormblood conditions?

In order to play Stormblood, what are the conditions.

It usually tells us that owning ffXIV is a condition but does not mention what Level you have to be nor whether you have to have Heavenwards and whether you have to play through Heavensward in order to play Stormblood.

You have to finish the MSQ from Heavensward until the current patch to enter Stormblood Areas/content not specificaly stated as "available earlier" like the new jobs

As Legion stated, you need to complete the entire A Realm Reborn and Heavensward main scenarios and their patch storylines that continue from them (this is because the storyline runs as one long ongoing story arc). There's a story reason why this is - like ARR's final patch scenario quest explaining how and why the player goes to Ishgard and the HW areas, the final HW patch story quest explains why and how the player is now going to Gyr Abania/Ala Mhigo and Doma/Othard/The Far East.

The only part of SB's new content that will not require HW completion is the new 'extra' Jobs Red Mage (RDM) and Samurai (SAM) which SE have stated will be available "from ARR areas" and will presumably require at least one class/Job at level 50 in order to unlock. But all other SB content will require level 60 and HW's entire story completion (and by extension, ARR's) in order to access SB areas and content.

As far as playing through it, Legion and Enkidoh already answered that. Yes, you do, for everything except the new jobs.

But as for needing to have it, purchase of Stormblood includes access to Heavensward, so HW doesn't need to be purchased separately unless you want to play through it before Stormblood's release. If you buy Stormblood, then once it's registered, you'll have both expansions. (That isn't a pre-order bonus, though. It comes only when SB is actually registered to your account, which you can't do until the 20th when it's officially released. During early access, you still wouldn't have access to HW unless it had been purchased separately.)

correction: pre-ordering SB is going to give access to both HW and SB during early access after all.

Story and level jump potions were confirmed in the Live Letter - though they will cost a bit of coin ($25/ea), you can use them to immediately jump to 4.0 and have one job leveled and geared for it. They won't be available during Early Access though, and you can only get one level jump potion until further notice - and it can't be used on Red Mage or Samurai, or any crafting class. (Yes, you must buy the two separately - at $25 each, so it'll be an extra $50 to immediately dive into 4.0.)

If you don't want to, you have to do 2.0 - 3.56's story, and will naturally have a class at 60+ for entering 4.0. As others have stated, buying Stormblood automatically gives you access to Heavensward's content, so that's a nonissue.

Thank you for info. So since I already have Heavensward but am still stuck on 'The Reason Roeille" I guess I will never get there but good to know that I would have had to play right through Heavensward.

Stormblood looks sooooo good....sigh, but long way off for me.

As an update, this is not true!

From the early access info :

* Early access is not available for the FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Complete Edition all-in-one bundle.
* Registering the Stormblood pre-order code will enable users to play Heavensward content during early access even if they do not possess Heavensward play rights.
* You do not need to have completed the Heavensward main scenario quest “The Far Edge of Fate” to unlock the new red mage and samurai jobs; however, you will need to register the pre-order bonus code and have a level 50 Disciple of War or Magic in order to accept the quests.

Yes, thanks for pointing that out. I had based my earlier answer on a dev post from back in January, but the Lodestone page explaining early access contradicts it, so apparently that's something they've changed their minds on. It's certainly a welcome change.
