GM Dorxenore "Not votekicking griefers is also harassment" This isn't okay.

I just can't be okay with this.

So I was doing a titan ex synced in DF, and a tank leaves. A new tank joins, and starts pulling immediately with no ready check, no countdowns, and refuses to communicate when we ask him. We wipe a few times, and he then goes "votekick me" obviously so he can avoid the leaver penalty. We all say no, and to just leave, he says "no, since you refuse to vote kick me, suffer" and then starts provoking and taking aggro and running in circles and forcing wipes for like 20 minutes.

I reported this, and the GM tells me "by not votekicking him, that is also harassment, and we may take action against those who refused to votekick him."

This isn't okay. we shouldn't be in a system where players who grief to avoid a penalty can not only not get banned, but also get those banned who refuse to give them any sort of advantage or leeway for griefing. Did I misread what the GM said?

So first SE gives everyone a blank cheque to kick for nearly any reason under the sun and now this?

When I was put with a completely inept group a while back who didn't even have job stones at 35 and told me to kill myself, asking to be votekicked was worthy of a warning.

But now refusing to allow trolls a free-pass for wasting your time is apparently grounds for harassment?

GMs seem as clued up about this as they do selling houses.

I feel like you are only making the GM's look bad with this post. What did you say to the Gm when you reported this and what did they say exactly??

I'm asking cause i reported the same thing before and I was told that if players are asking nicely to get kicked that we should do it since forcing them to leave is also a form of harassment to them because we want them to take the penalty. Which is understandable why would i want to get in trouble not kicking a player who asked nicely about it? Also the vote kick feature is there to avoid having trouble makers in the duty. You are provoking and causing the party to go through that stress and hard time because you feel like its best that they leave on their own. I don't get why some of you have to be "mr.justice" to players. Do yourself a favor and just kick them why cause the duty more drama?

I feel you just misinterpreted what the GM said to you cause I was told the same thing by another Gm and i get it, it can be harassment if we are forcing a player to leave and take the penalty. However, for your case, yeah he should take the penalty but you can still fix the problem yourself and kick the player. You chose to keep him there then you will have to go through the drama of that little kid crying to be kicked.

Do you see what I'm trying to say or are you hard headed and just want to go by your own answers?

Yeah this doesn't seem right.
That tank, based on your story, deserves the 30 minute lockout. Instead he's forcing someone to have a four hour vote-kick lockout. So in three hours from then when someone goes afk due to some IRL emergency, and you can't vote kick them and carry on.

Have yet to meet a GM who didn't break their own rules like me I got ban twice on the load stone for calling someone the 3 letter word for butt (would say it but don't want my 3rd ban) one from a recent and once from a post was like a year and some time ago.

Then last week seen a person and click to check them out and their FC called 3letter word kick and their slogan got c*nt in it report them and yet that person still running around with said FC and slogan.

So frankly not a surprise the Gm in this game do what they please all cause no one at SE watching them and when you make a complaint it always the same bull so frankly I wouldn't trust a Gm as far as I could throw them

Well directly calling someone a bad word is against the rules.
Having a bad word in your slogan, or just general swearing isn't. There's a big difference there.

one yes but being hit twice for the same word and the one that was over a year ago wasn't at someone was just in a post yet still ban for it so can't say calling someone and just saying it 2 different things as I been ban for both types

Question, if you are banned, how were you able to return to the game?
Just want to ask cause Ban means you are forever unable to return to the game or forums. Did you mean suspension/suspended? Can't say you were banned 3 times cause you wouldn't be able to return the first time if you were banned.

Ban and Suspension are two different things, just want to put it out there. It's cringy to see player use ban when they mean suspended.
